You can lose money

Trading futures, forex and stocks involves a substantial risk of loss. Futures and forex are leveraged: you can lose more than you deposit. Use only money you can afford to lose.

The dial multiplies losses too

A dial above 1.0× makes every copied position larger, so losses grow in the same proportion as gains. Falls inside a month can be deeper than month-end figures show. Margin limits how far an account can be dialled.

Past and simulated results

Past and simulated performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Read how results are shown.

Your account will not match the model exactly

  • The prices you actually get (fills), the gap to the expected price (slippage) and fees differ from account to account.
  • Futures trade in whole contracts, so each copied futures position is rounded down to whole contracts; the smaller the account or the dial, the larger the gap.
  • Your broker can reject an order, for example for margin or permissions.
  • The model portfolio’s stop and target orders stay in the model account. An independent third-party trade-copying provider (“the provider”) closes your copy when the model closes, at the market price.
  • A hand trade in your account switches the provider’s automatic sync off until you switch it back on.
  • Outages at the provider, at your broker or at data providers can delay or prevent copying.

When copying stops

When you pause, leave or cancel, or when we pause copying for your account, your open positions stay in your account. Nothing closes them for you any more: the model portfolio’s stops and targets do not reach your account. Close them yourself if you want them closed.

Your decision

Eon Quant publishes the same portfolios for everyone and does not know your circumstances. It gives no personal advice. You decide whether the service suits you, and you are responsible for your account, its margin and your taxes.
