The trade is published. An independent third-party trade-copying provider (“the provider”) copies the position into your Interactive Brokers account at the current market price, sized by your dial, and closes it when the model closes it. You see every order at your broker.

The model’s stop and target orders stay in the model account; when they fire there, the provider closes your copy at the market price. If you pause or leave, nothing closes your open positions any more: see “How do I pause or stop?”

It sets how large the copied positions are, measured against the account size you entered. 1.0× is the tested setting; a higher dial multiplies gains and losses alike. Change it in Your portfolio; the provider asks you to approve the change.

Please don’t. A trade you make by hand switches the provider’s automatic sync off for your whole account, without warning, until you switch it back on. Use an account dedicated to the portfolio.

In Your portfolio: “Pause copying, keep my positions” stops new trades from being copied, and your open positions stay in your account with nothing closing them any more. “Stop copying and close my positions” can close every open position in your account, including any you opened yourself, at the market price; it cannot be undone. Both wait for the provider’s confirmation.

Sign in with one of your recovery codes, or write to us and we confirm it is you by e-mail and your account details. After a reset, the dial, resuming and closing positions are locked for 24 hours.
